Do Nigerians Need Visa For Uganda?
Yes. $50 e-Visa, apply online before you fly.
Uganda don move fully to e-Visa for 2026. No visa on arrival for most travellers, no embassy sticker. VOA don end since 2016.
Wetin you need:
- Ordinary Tourist e-Visa — $50 + $1.50 admin fee (about ₦77,000) — plus small 3% card surcharge fit apply
- Valid for up to 90 days, single entry
- Apply for visas.immigration.go.ug — na only official site. Fake sites dey charge $90 - $200 for same visa.
- Processing na about 3-5 working days, but apply at least 2 weeks before you fly. Approval letter go come for email, print am.
- Approval letter valid for 90 days from approval — you must travel inside that window.
If you wan do Uganda + Kenya + Rwanda together, apply for East Africa Tourist Visa — $100 for 90 days, multiple entry. But apply through the country wey you go enter first. Yellow Fever For Uganda — New Rule For 2026

Before, Yellow Fever certificate na must for Uganda. Since 2 Oct 2026, Uganda Immigration don remove am as mandatory for entry. E no dey for e-Visa portal again.
But abeg, still carry your Yellow Card.
Why? Because:

2. If you go travel from Uganda go Kenya or Rwanda after, dem go ask am

Health Declaration — No Skip Am
Uganda don make online health declaration mandatory for all arrivals from 25 Oct 2026 because of Ebola for DRC.
Fill am for poes.health.go.ug/declare within 72 hours before arrival, keep QR code. No fill am, no entry. E apply to everybody, even diplomats.
You go need fill am again for departure too — Entebbe Civil Aviation dey require am for departing passengers.
DRC Warning: If you don visit DRC for last 21 days, no try transit Uganda — dem go deny you. Border with DRC closed except humanitarian / cargo. And if you dey come from DRC area, you go face extra screening.
Why e matter for Nigerians? Because some cheap flights from Lagos to Entebbe dey pass through DRC or connect via Kinshasa. If you book that kind flight, dem fit deny you. Check your route well.
