2. How Much E Cost For 2026?

Official Federal Government fee na: ₦2k

You go pay am online with Remita (RRR code) or for bank.

But carry extra money: For office, dem fit ask you for other small charges like Polio vaccine or service charge. Many people for Lagos don pay total of ₦5k - ₦10k for everything for Port Health office. So carry ₦10k go, no go with only ₦2k make you no stuck.

If person tell you say bring ₦15k make e fast am without vaccine, na scam — na fake card e go give you.

3. How To Apply Online (Step By Step)

Do am for house with your phone.

Step 1: Go to yellowcardnigeria.com — na the official portal

Step 2: Click Apply for Yellow Card

Step 3: Fill your name, date of birth, passport number — make sure e match your passport exactly

Step 4: Generate your RRR code (Remita Retrieval Receipt)

Step 5: Pay ₦2k with your ATM card online, or carry the RRR go bank go pay

Step 6: Print your payment receipt or screenshot am

Note: Sometimes that website dey down. If e no open for 2 days, no panic. Go Port Health office direct, dem go help you register there for office.

4. Where To Go Collect Am

Carry your payment receipt + your International Passport go any Port Health Services office.

Lagos (Best Place):

- Port Health Office, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja — na the main one, yellow building near toll gate, before airport. Go before 12pm, weekdays only.

- Apapa Port Office

- Tincan Island Sea Port

Abuja:

- Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport — Port Health office

- Federal Secretariat, Abuja — call first to confirm if dem still dey do am that day

Other States:

- Port Harcourt International Airport

- Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar

- Any Federal Secretariat for your state capital — call Port Health first to confirm, no be all of them dey do am everyday

Go early — 9am. Dem go give you vaccine for arm, e no too pain. After like 1 hour, dem go give you your e-Yellow Card.

Important: If you get serious egg allergy, you dey pregnant, your baby never reach 9 months, or your immune system weak, no go take am anyhow — talk to doctor for Port Health first before you take vaccine.

5. How Long E Go Last?

This na where many people confuse.

Your Nigerian e-Yellow Card fit still print 10 years for am, but under WHO rule since 11 July 2016, Yellow Fever certificate na valid for life. One dose dey protect you for life, you no need booster.

So even if your card print 10 years, WHO say e still valid after that. But to avoid wahala for border — because some border officer still dey use old 10-year rule — always carry card wey still valid if you get new one.

Important: You must take vaccine at least 10 days before you travel. Vaccine need 10 days to work for body, and certificate only become valid after 10 days. If you take am today and travel tomorrow, dem fit still hold you. So do am at least 2 weeks before your trip.

6. How To Know If Your Yellow Card Na Original Or Fake

1. E get QR code wey you fit scan

2. E get your passport number correct
